I wanted to throw out a quick post to say Thanks to Turbine for a very fun and entertaining 5th Anniversary Event for Dungeons and Dragons Online. This was the best event so far since DDO:EO Free to Play was launched. It was great to see the old newbie area revitalized into a fun place to smack around pirates. It was a lot of fun to stomp around the original starting location. Great job expanding the area as well. It was fun to wonder around the island hunting for pirate treasure!
The quest Crystal Cove was a lot of fun and made groups really work together to get the most out of each run. Between the different locations for crystals, the different levels of runs, the different character class setups there were many different ways players were successful. It was a lot of fun to see the different groups ran the quest and it was good to see so many different strategies being successful.
Beyond all that the loot we were able to craft was great. I would say that the third tier of upgrades was probably a little expensive to do for many items but worth it on a few. Anyway, there was a lot of great loot. I loved that we were able to modify the bonus’s on the hats to allow a much greater option for gear. This is a GREAT thing for gear and character options! Keep it up Turbine!
To thank Turbine for such a fun event and continuing to provide us with a great free to play MMO such as Dungeons and Dragons Online I would like to ask everyone that loves the game to head over to the Escapists March Mayhem for game developers and show Turbine the support it needs. Get over there and vote. Make sure to associate your twitter account and to tweet your vote to get the extra vote in there and a prize entry.
Dungeons and Dragons Online is the best free to play MMO out there by a long shot. It gets overlooked and passed by because it IS different than other MMO’s. It really IS an active combat MMO unlike all those others out there that advertise as such. It DOES have the best unique character creation out there. It’s randomized loot tables offer a huge amount of character flexibility and diversity. It definitely has room to grow but we have to give it continued support. Keep the community fired up about this great game so we can keep getting these great additions!
