DDM’s Realm is a fan site for the games I love to play. My newest addiction comes in the form of the newest Dungeons and Dragons MMO, Neverwinter. This new, free to play D&D MMO is set in the Forgotten Realms in one of the most famous areas, Neverwinter. With lush graphics, rich lore, and active and addictive combat this is sure to be a hit.
The long standing D&D MMO addiction of mine is the fantastic game Dungeons and Dragons Online or simply DDO. DDO is an amazing MMO that throws you into the world of D&D using a mixture of 3.5 and 4e rule sets. Unlike most combat in MMO’s, DDO’s combat is truly active and alive twitch system. DDO’s dynamic and fast paced combat system is by far the best to date. It is different and this is A GOOD THING! You can play Dungeons and Dragons for free, so why not give it a try?
I would even venture as far to say that Neverwinter will give Dungeons and Dragons Online a run for its money if they were both the same D&D ruleset. However, Neverwinter uses the 4th Edition rule set and DDO is 3.5. There is a huge difference in game play and mechanics and I think fans of each will likely stick with the style of MMO they like most.
When I need some tech, another addictions is Star Wars The Old Republic, better known as Star Wars TOR or simply TOR. TOR is a great MMO RPG. It’s definitely an MMORPG because unlike so many others that claim this title, TOR actually IS a role playing game. You are thrust into your character’s story in TOR and you have no choice but to role play, and it is glorious!
I will cover some of my other loves such as pen and paper gaming, Firefly Universe Online or anything else that suits my fancy. If you share a love of great games like I do this is the place for you!
Enjoy the guides for Star Wars TOR, read through the walkthroughs for the quests in DDO or check out one of the many video guides I have added. Warning: This site is full of spoilers so if you want to experience DDO, Neverwinter, or SWTOR or anything else spoiler free, run the quest or missions first before looking them up here.
I am always open to feedback, suggestions, and guide requests so stop by DDM’s Realm Forums and let us know what’s on your mind. Remember to bookmark DDM’s Realm, Like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter for instant updates.
Play smarter, not harder!
